Janis Horwat
Owner/Operator
Janis grew up just outside of our nation’s capital in Kanata, Ontario. She travelled to Whistler in 1995, and, like many long-time locals in the Sea to Sky Corridor, intended to only stay for “a season”.
Captivated by the mountains, the outdoor lifestyle and the community of Whistler, one season turned into many as Janis worked and managed in Whistler’s Food & Beverage Industry for over a decade.
In 2005, Janis and her husband, Lenny, moved to Pemberton to start a family. They welcomed Lola to the world in 2006 followed by baby sister, Roxy, a few years later.
After enjoying several years of motherhood, Janis returned to the work place but found that nothing “felt right”. Embracing her entrepreneurial spirit, she realized she wanted to create something of her own.
Using her exceptional organizational skills, experience in customer service and management, as well as her meticulous attention to detail, Clean Freaks Care was established in 2012. Janis ran the business solo for the first few years but has successfully grown the business over the past decade+ and currently employs 13 hard-working staff from the Sea to Sky Corridor and beyond.
